長期照護所強調的服務是一種輔助與照護,其並非是一個自給自足的綜合性醫療照護服務體系,
也不是醫療體制下的一個獨立元素,而是社區照護環境的一環,透過個案管理這種連結、管理及
集中、協調服務的方法,不但提供了滿足個案在各種變化下的醫療照護需求,也可讓社會資源得
到最有效的運用,有效兼顧長期照護品質與成本效益。
The emphasis of long-term care service is on providing assistance and care. Long-term care service system is not a standalone system of comprehensive medical care, nor is it a component of the overall
medical system. Long-term care service is rather an integrated community care loop. Using case man-agement to connect, manage, centralize, and coordinate, long-term service can address and satisfy the changing medical care needs of customers as well as promote enhanced utilization of social resources. This approach can also improve long-term care quality and cost effectiveness.
