核心價值是組織發展的基石。不論是企業組織或宗教組織都肯定核心價值在組織中的重要性。而學校作為教育性組織，扮演為國育才的角色，也應該有一套核心價值來驅動與支撐學校組織的運作。本文即在於以學校核心價值的建構為焦點，分別探討學校核心價值的概念與作用、學校核心價值的發展原則及其啟示，冀能引發學校經營者對核心價值的重視，進而發揮核心價值的能量，帶動學校經營品質的進步。

There are the same findings from the studies of top cooperation’s management suggest that shared core values play an important role in promoting employee effort and organizational performance. The core values are essential to maintain their vitality and development. In Fact, the core values on which school bases its strategic plan, day-to-day decisionmaking and operations, too. This article reviews the concepts and functions of core values, and proposes some suggestions how to apply core values into the school management.
