綜觀美國整個20世紀課程領域的發展,社會效率可說是被相當普遍採用的一個重要課程詞彙,但綜觀相關研究文獻,論述觀點則偏向過度單一化,故基於多元歷史理解的觀點,本研究選擇社會效率做為探究對象,並透過蒐集和以往不同詮釋觀點的研究文獻進行分析,其目的並不在取代當前普遍被採用的論述觀點,而是在彰顯課程史研究的多元理解特質,並提供另類分析社會效率的取徑。

英文摘要

"Social efficiency" is an important term to the historical development of curriculum in the U.S. over the entire 20th century. However, almost all relevant literature adapts the particular viewpoint. Therefore, the study collects and analyzes the literature whose perspectives are different from those of the past, based on multiple historical understanding. The purpose of the study is not to replace the currently accepted perspectives, but to highlight the possibility of different interpretations in the study of curriculum history, and provides another analysis approach of social efficiency.
