臺灣位處亞熱帶地區,環境高溫多濕,種蛋的運輸面臨極大的考驗。本研究目的在於探討不同 保溫、防震材質及運送過程種蛋之破損率等因素,據以設計符合臺灣氣候條件之種蛋運輸箱。 本試驗採用商業用瓦楞紙箱為外層,尺寸為 42 cm × 33 cm × 32 cm,厚度為 8 mm,為於紙箱 內覆珍珠板,種蛋以紙蛋盤盛裝,箱內並填充以環保泡泡粒或氣泡布當作緩衝包裝材料,以提 供防震及保溫功能,箱內放置冰保做為降溫之用。依其差異分為A(珍珠板+環保泡泡粒)、 B(珍珠板+氣泡布)、C(無珍珠板+環保泡泡粒)、D(無珍珠板+氣泡布),而E 組為不經 運送,依一般種蛋存放程序的對照組。結果發現,破蛋率、中止蛋率及孵化率方面,各組皆無 顯著差異,但孵化率以 A 組為最高,E 組最低,分別為 87.76% 及 73.26%。中止蛋率以 E 組之 11.05% 為最高,其餘組別皆低於 5.44%。顯示珍珠板+環保泡泡粒所組合的運輸箱,足 以維持運輸箱環境溫度以達胚蛋發育及避免種蛋因震盪造成胚胎發育中止。此模式未來可鎖定 在地區性的小農,藉成本低廉又兼具防疫與保溫的運輸箱,將台灣的優良土雞行銷國際。

英文摘要

Because the environment of Taiwan is high temperature and humidity, it is a critical challenge to transport the fertilized eggs of poultry. This research was conducted to not only investigate the materials of transport box but also analysis the ratio of damaged eggs, death-in-shell, and hatchability after the transportation. Moreover, according to the results from last year, we developed an optimized transport box which can protect the fertile eggs from the external environment. In this study, the commercial cardboard box (L: 42 cm, W: 33 cm, H: 32 cm) with thickness 8 mm were lined with foam board and the fertile eggs were placed on the disposable paper-egg tray. The inner space was stuffed with the packing peanuts or bubble wraps to provide the functions of shockproof and insulation. Furthermore, the ice packages were put in the transport box for cooling. The treatments showed as below. Group A was the foam board with packing peanuts, group B was the foam board with bubble wraps, group C was the packing peanuts only, and group D was the bubble wraps only. Additionally, group E was the control one which boxes with eggs were stored at 16℃ without transportation. The results showed that the ratio of damaged eggs, death-in-shell and hatchability were no significant difference among groups. However, the eggs from group A and E showed the highest (87.76%) and the lowest (73.26%) hatchability individually. Interestingly, group E hadan 11.05% death-in-shellratio which was the highest ratio among teat groups, while other groups were under 5.44%.It indicated that the transport box which had foam board with packing peanut scan maintain the environment in good condition for eggsembryo developing and protect eggs from vibrations and decline the ratio of death-in-shell. This mode of transport box had the superiorities of low-cost, thermostatic and sturdy. It truly can help the local poultry farmers to market their outstanding breeds to abroad
