陰唇黏連所引起的尿路徵候由於沒有仔細的檢查常常被忽略掉了。從1986年到1996年總共有10位3到6歲的小女孩由於陰唇的黏連而引發各種形式的尿路症狀。所有病人都接受外科分離手術並在術後給予動情繳素軟膏的局部使用。經由以上的治療所有的尿路症候都得以解除。

The presence of labial fusion may induce urinary tract symptoms which are overlooked without meticulous inspection. From 1986 to 1996, 10 female children, aged 3 to 6 years, who presented with a variety of urinary symptoms were found to have adhesion of the labia minora. All patients underwent surgical separation of labia fusion and received topical estrogen application postoperatively. Complete resolution of urinary tract symptoms was observed in all patients under these treatments.
