自1985年至1988年間，收集到74位良性攝護腺肥大經連道切除術後發生膀胱頸攣縮的病人。其發生率是3.1%(74/2378)，而再發生率是5.4%。解尿時尿柱變細及無力和頻尿是最常見的症狀。81%的病八接受經尿道切除術後兩年內發生膀胱頸攣縮。切下的攝護腺重量，68%小於20公克。如果醫生能更了解上述的臨床過程及治療，膀胱頸攣縮是很容易診斷及處理的問題。

From 1985 to 1988, 74 patients of this Hospital developed contracture of the bladder neck (CBN) after transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH). The incidence was 3.1% (74/2378); the rate of recurrent CBN was 5.4%. Decreased caliber and force of the urinary stream, and frequency of urination, after TURP, were the most common symptoms. Most patients (81%) developed CBN within two years after surgery and, for 68%, the weight of resected prostate had been less than 20 grams. Clinicians can easily diagnose and manage problems of CBN if they better understand the condition course as it develops clinically, and the treatment of CBN.
