本文報告一例二十三歲女性病人因患左側上段輸尿管結石來院接受體外震波碎石術治療，她在八年前曾因同處結石接受過輸尿管截石手術，在門診追蹤時取得排出之結石碎片，意外地發現卡在結石中之不吸收線，經掃瞄式電子顯微鏡檢縫線呈不規則的表面，在線結鑲嵌了單、雙水草酸鈣及磷灰石。本文中探討其可能原因並再次強調輸尿管手術縫線的選擇仍以可吸收材料較佳。

The report concerns a 23-year-old female with a left upper ureteral stone who had received left ureterolithotomy eight years previously but was still symptomatic. She received 1, 200 shock unmber of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy by Simens Lithostar in this hospital. The stone fragments was passed spontaneously after treatment, revealing grossly impacted suture material. The uneven surface of that material was found by scanning electron microscopy. Whewellite, weddellite and apatite were found around the knot. There was risk of encrustation by non-absorable suture material in this case.
