本篇報告台灣燈會2013 年在新竹縣舉辦時的緊急醫療救護需求情況。燈會活動從2 月24 日至3 月10 日共15 天，設有醫療站五處與消防站八處，期間共有464 人接受醫療， 男性佔47.0%，年齡層中以年輕族群佔多數，就醫時段則集中在白天與假日，主訴最多 為開放性傷口與腹痛，46 人因病情較重由救護車轉送醫院治療，緊急醫療救護使用率為 0.0039%（464/1200 萬），救護車轉送率9.9%(46/464)，無死亡個案；文中我們也比較台 灣其他展期較長大型活動的緊急醫療救護情況。

We reported here on the provision of emergency medical services at the Taiwan lantern festival, which was held in Hsinchu County during 24 February to 10 March in 2013. Five medical stations and eight fire stations were set up for medical care. Approximately 12 million tourists participated in the event and in total 464 people required emergency medical care. Men were 47.0%. Young age, day time and holiday had more medical need. Forty-six patients needed to be transferred by ambulance to hospital; most were opened wounds and abdominal pain. The medical use rate was 0.0039% and the ambulance transfer rate was 9.9%. To our knowledge this is the first time using medical emergency motorcycle in lantern festival in Taiwan. We also compared emergency medical services in other mass gatherings with longer times in Taiwan.
