自上世紀八零年代，台灣開啟探親政策後，兩岸關係從熱戰與冷戰對峙，走向交流與開放。在這過程伴隨兩岸經貿飛躍成長，並改變台灣對外的經貿關係與結構，兩岸的大量經貿關係必將對雙方產生多方面影響。尤其，兩岸簽訂經濟合作架構協議（ECFA）後，雙邊經貿已融入全球區域經濟整合潮流。故兩岸經貿的政治因素與影響是本文的研究重點。在論文結構上，本文先探討兩岸經貿與區域經濟現況，再以功能主義論述兩岸經貿之政治影響與後果。

During 1980’s, Chiang, Ching-kuo in 1987 ended martial law and allowed family visits to the Mainland China. As a result, the tense Cross-Strait relations shifted from Cold-War atmosphere to more openness and exchange. Along with the process of Cross-Strait economic growth, Mainland China and Taiwan increased volumes of trades and it also changed the structure and relation of mutual foreign economy. Moreover, the great quantity of economic exchange between Cross-Strait relations brought multiple-faced effects toward economy of both sides. Especially, Mainland China and Taiwan signed the ECFA that contributed them to join the global trend of regional economic integration. In fact, the political effect under the economic exchange for Cross-Strait relations would be the focus of this paper. In the structure of this paper, it approaches the investment and trade of Cross-Strait relations and the regional economy firstly. Next, it adopts functionalism to explore the political effects and results under the economic exchange.
