本文採用「次級資料分析」的方式,綜合參考研究者於當年(2001年)的訪談與觀察的資料,以及參酌相關文獻資料,透過「社會資本」理論的框架,研究發現台商子弟學校其成功籌建的因素為:一、創辦人個人具有優越溝通能力,有效整合台商資源。二、當地台商協會在創辦人領導下,藉由積極投入當地公益活動,強調與當地社區互動,獲得大陸官方高度的信任感。三、東莞市屬於出口導向經濟發展模式,在招商引資時,需要台商協會奧援。四、大陸官方台辦系統採取善意、實用的方式,處理台商學校籌建事宜。經本研究呈現東莞台商子弟學校成功籌建的過程,提供給未來中國大陸其他地區,成立台商子弟學校之借鏡參考,造福更多當地台商子弟。

英文摘要

A “Secondary Data Analysis” approach is adopted in this research, which combines the researcher’s data from interviews and observations in the year 2001, as well as deliberate relevant literature. Through the framework of “social capital” theory, the study found that the factors of its successful foundation are as follows: First, the founder, who possesses excellent communication skills, can integrate Taiwanese businessmen resources effectively. Second, under the leadership of the founder, local Taiwanese businessmen Association gained highly feeling of trust from mainland officials through proactive participation in local charity activities and emphasizing the interaction with the local community. Third, Dongguan City, which belongs to the export-oriented economic development model, needs the support from Taiwanese Businessmen Association in investment promotion. Fourth, the mainland’s Taiwan Affairs Office official system took a practical way with a good intention to deal with matters relating to Taiwanese Businessmen School foundation. The study, presenting the successful preparation process of Dongguan Taiwanese School, aims to provide future reference for the establishment of Taiwanese schools in other regions in China, and for the benefit of more local Taiwanese children.
