氟-18-去氧葡萄糖正子造影為一不具侵犯性之功能性影像搖術,能提供組織糖代謝的資訊,因此對各種惡性腫瘤具有相當高的偵測能力。但氟-18-去氧葡萄糖並非癌症專一性的核醫藥物,因此常會有偽陽性的報告。至於偽陰緎的結果則較為少見。因此我們在此報告氟-18-去氧葡萄糖正子造影,對於偵測甲狀腺瀘泡癌淋巴結轉移一個失敗的例子。
Positron emission tomography (PET) with fluorine-18fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FEG) is a noninvasive functional imaging technique that provides information of the tissue metabolism with high accuracy in detecting various malignancies, 18F-FEG is not a cancer-specific agent, and false-positive results have been reported. However, false-negative results of 18F-FEG scan in diagnosis of malignant disease were rarely reported. We report a case of false-negative result of 18F-FEG PET can in lymph node metastasis in a patient with follicular thyroid carcinoma.
