一位66歲的男性食道鱗狀細胞癌患者,骨骼掃描顯示右側之額頂骨有強烈增加之同位素攝取,而10個月後之追蹤骨骼掃描顯示此病灶並無明顯之變化。電腦斷層掃描及核磁共振掃描則顯示有粗砂礫狀之腫瘤沿著硬腦膜分佈,併有區域之鈣化以及強烈之顯影劑增強,而其附近之顱骨亦受到了腫瘤的侵犯。
此病患接受了顱骨切除術,其病理診斷為腦膜瘤。

A 66-year-old male patient with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma was found to have increased tracer uptake over the right frontopariental skull on the bone scan examination. The follow-up bone scan performed ten months later revealed this lesion to be stationary without obvious change. CT and MRI showed lesions over dura mater with calcification and strong enhancement. Abnormal infiltration into the diploic space of the nearby skull was also noted. The patient received craniectomy with the pathological diagnosis of meningioma.
