F-18 FDG-PET/CT (PET) is widely utilized for diagnosis and evaluation of malignancy. With the increasing popularity of PET, false positive and false negative results are frequently encountered. We present two patients who underwent PET and were found to have lesions in their lungs. Patient A suspected of having lung cancer with PET, was proved histologically to be a case of cryptococcal pneumonia. On the other hand, patient B was told to have chronic infectious disease with PET and was proved histologically to be a case of adenocarcinoma.
