本文以TSMC 0.35 um 2P4M Mixed-Signal 3.3/5 V 製程技術進行設計,呈現具有可變斜率補償之白光LED 升壓驅動電路,透過此可變斜率補償機制,可增進在輸入電壓源或負載發生變動時,升壓轉換器恢復穩定之時間,並且也可減少在輸入電壓源或負載發生變動時,升壓轉換器輸出受補償之影響,文中主要依據升壓轉換器架構,並利用尖峰電流模式及脈波寬度調變控制進行設計。文中提出一改良電流感測器電路,改善舊型電路在積體化實現之困難度,使改良型電路則有助於積體化之實現,最後,以整體電路而言,其輸入電壓源在2.5 V~3.3 V 皆可正常運作,切換頻率為1 MHz,與85°C 之過溫度保護,輸出電流為20 mA,並且具備可調光控制之功能,在負載為一個LED 與輸入電壓源為2.5 V 下,其轉換器之效率可高達87%。

This research uses the TSMC 0.35 um 2P4M Mixed-Signal 3.3/5 V process
technology in developing a boost converter with dynamic slope compensation with programmable current mode. When the power supply or load LED changes, the charge time is accelerated by the dynamic slope compensation thereby improving the line regulation and load regulation. The design of the driver is based on current-mode pulse width modulation (PWM) boost converter. The research will show an improvement as compared to the traditional LED driver circuit. The designed LED driver has an
additional current sensor. The designed circuit shows a power supply range from 2.5 V to 3.3 V, switching frequency 1 MHz, high temperature protection up to 85°C, an output current of 20mA, and a function of dimming control. The driver shows an efficiency of 87% under the condition of having one LED load and input power supply of 2.5 V.
