背景與目的:台灣女性運動風氣日盛,然未見我國不同體型女性從事腳踏車運動之攝氧量與預期能量消耗的相關研究。本研究目的在探討(1)體型對次大強度腳踏車運動在生理穩定狀態下攝氧量的影響;(2)國外學者發展能量消耗預期公式之適用性;(3)建立新的公式和利用隨機取樣的次族群檢定新公式之效度。方法:徵召40名台灣健康女性(平均年齡為29.1±10.1;範圍l9~52歲),以身體質量指數做體型分組(體重正常組21名;過重和肥胖組19名),各執行四個次大運動強度之腳踏車運動,並接受休息與運動時攝氧量和以生物電阻分析儀執行體脂率與肌肉重量之測量。結果:過重和肥胖組在相同次大強度之腳踏車運動下單位體重攝氧量較正常體重組低,且其值和體脂率呈現負相關。先前文獻之能量消耗預期公式,顯著低估台灣健康女性在執行腳踏車之實際攝氧量。本研究隨機取樣30名受試者建立新的預期公式[淨攝氧量(ml/min)=(450.0×Level)+(19.7×rpm)-823.5; R^2=0.944, SEE=106.8],以其餘10名受試者做交叉效度分析,顯示攝氧量之預測值與實際值無統計上顯著差異(p=.154),平均差值為37.7ml/min,其誤差變異度與運動強度無相關。結論:新的腳踏車運動能量消耗預期公式適用不同體型之台灣青中年女性。

英文摘要

Background and Purpose: More Taiwanese women exercise in gym in recent years. Relative little research has been done for the energy cost prediction equation in women with different body sizes. The purposes of our study were to (1) compare oxygen consumption in overweight and obese women with those with normal body weight at submaximal exercise workloads on cycle ergometer; (2) develop an energy cost prediction equation of a cycle ergometer manufactured in Taiwan; (3) cross-validate the prediction equation in a subpopulation. Methods: Forty healthy women aged 29.1±10.1 (range 19~52 years) were recruited and c1assifìed into normal weight group (n=21) and overweight/obese group (n=19) according to their body mass index. Oxygen consumption was measured while subjects were at rest and exercised at four submaximal workloads in steady state on cycle ergometer. 8ioelectrical impedance analysis was used to estimate the body fats and skeletal muscle mass. Results: At the same submaximal intensity of cycling, lower value in oxygen consumption per body weight (ml/min/kg) was noted in the overweight and obese women. A negative correlation between oxygen consumption per body weight (ml/min/kg) and % body fat was observed. A new equation of energy expenditure was developed on a random sample of 30 subjects as following: net oxygen consumption (ml/min)=(450.0×Level)+(19.7×rpm)-823.5 (R^2=0.944, SEE=106.8). The cross-validated results on the other 10 subjects demonstrated no significant differences between the predicted and actual oxygen consumption (p=.154) with mean difference 37.7 ml/min. The variation of error was not related with exercise intensity. Conclusion: The new equation would assist the energy consumption estimation more accurate on the cycle ergometer for the young to middle-aged Taiwanese women with different body sizes.
