The Royal Style Verse is the well-formulated genre but develops different styles by places. Xu Ling's and Yu Xin's styles are dominant ones which are popular among the writers. They share the same patterns on genre: first of all, the harmony on stressed and unstressed syllables; second of all, the parallel of Four-Six antitheses; third of all, the emphasis on allusions; fourth of all, the fluency of composing by transitions. However, they deliver different values by applying their unique styles: Xu's is analytic whereas lyrical expression is extraordinary in Yu's. Based on the Royal Style Verse's splendid phrasing, Xu-Yu's styles further enrich this genre. Therefore, the writers at that time following strictly the formulated genre possess the virtues of the form; others probing into the styles expand the insight.
