電子海圖將是船艦最佳導航及定位系統的一部份。由於電子海圖能夠將雷達及地理資訊系統的綜合資科以顯示出來，故船艦駕駛員或海洋監視員能容易的應用及辨別，使航行有效率且安全。本文簡述在台灣地區發展電子海圖之現況，並研討電子海圖中數位資料如何複配航行雷達影像。在結論中，詳述對電子海圖發展構想及建議，以供未來寶際發展且應用時參考。

Electronic charts will be a part of sophisticated navigation and positioning systems on the vessels. Sailing masters and coastal operators can easily use and distinguish objects when the electronic chart which not only integrates radar and digital records but improves the effeciency and safety of sailing is shown. This paper describes briefly at the development of the electronic chart in Taiwan area, and then try to find how to use the digital records of the electronic chart in detecting the navid radar image. In the final conclusion, the organization and suggestion for the electronic chart will be given, in order to be helpful for the development and application of the electronic chart in the future.
