The French Taizé community is an interdenominational Christian organization.Its worship style is simple, gentle, and deeply reflective. The songs and music it hascreated are very influential. X Church in Beijing has used this model in its eveningworship. Its contemplative style reveals a very different model from the traditionalProtestant sermon-centered one. This article describes the way this model wasexplored. Its conclusion still awaits the test of time.
