台北市位仁愛醫院用Storz Modulith SL20對194位病人進行260次治療，經過3個月的追蹤，成功率達百分之七十九點四。結石完全治癒率達百分之六十六，對腎結石平均治療次數為1.26，對輸尿管結石平均治療次數為1.21。不須麻醉只給予止痛劑。只有極少數病人發生併發症。我們認為Storz Modulith SL20對於腎結石及輸尿管結石能提供有效而安全的治療。
英文摘要
Initial experience here with extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL), using the Storz Modulith SL20, is reported. A total of 194 patients underwent 260 treatments. The mean stone diameter was 11.8mm. The overall success rate (fragments smaller than 3mm that required no further treatment) was 79.4%. The stone-free rate was 66.0% at three month follow-up. For successful cases, the average treatment rate for renal calculi was 1.26 sessions and for ureteric calculi, 1.21 ESWL monotherapy. Intravenous analgesia was given in 69.6% of patients. There were few complication. The Storz Modulith SL20 is proved to be an efficient and safe lithotripter, capable of treating stones in the kidney and throughout the ureter.
