在本研究中，將對人類生殖泌尿道的組織中的前列腺素E2的內因性農度加以研究。一共38位因不同的生殖泌尿道疾病而接受開刀手術的病人包括在研究中。其中36位是男性，2位是女性，年齡從6歲到86歲不等(平均65.8歲)。前列腺素E2的組織內因性濃度(平均值±標準誤ng/g組織)於輸尿管是92.1±40.4，於輸尿精管是120.9±70.9，於膀胱肌肉是25.9±13.4，於攝護腺肥大病患的攝護線組織是126.7±13.7，於睪丸為1.6(只有一個標本)。再以上的組織如輸尿管、輸精管、膀胱肌肉、攝護腺肥大疾患的攝護腺組織或是睪丸等，前列腺素E2的濃度與年齡之間並無相關性存在(相關性，P>0.05)。這一先期報告的結論是前列腺素E2的組織內因性濃度在人類生殖泌尿道中極為顯著，可能它在調節人類生殖泌尿道的功能上具有某些地位。

n this study, the tissue concentration of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2)in the human genitourinary tract was detemined. A total of 38 patients who underwent surgery for different urological diseases was included in this study with consent. There were 36 males and 2 females, whose ages ranged from 6 to 86 years old (mean: 65.8 years). The tissue concentrations (mean ± S.E. ng/g tissue) of PGE2 were 92.1 ± 40.4 in the ureter, 120.9 ± 70.9 in the vas deferens, 25.9 ± 13.4 in bladder muscle, 126.7 ± 13.7 in prostatic tissue of the benign hyperplastic proseate (BPH) and 1.6 in the testis (one case only). No correlation was demonstrated between age and the PGE2 concentraion in the ureter, vas deferens, bladder muscle, prostatic tissue of BPH, or testis, respectively (Pearson coefficient correlation, P>0.05 in all). The endogenous con-centrations of PGE2 in the human genitourinary tract were significant. It might have some role in modulating the function of the human genitourinary tract.
