雖然目前睡眠中心的標準睡眠檢查仍是多重生理記錄儀,但隨著電腦技術的進化,睡眠生理訊號記錄系統已由記錄於紙上演進至數位化數據儲存於電腦中,開啟應用不同訊號處理技術於睡眠監測上的可能性,且可進一步萃取所需資訊,輔助睡眠判讀,甚至偵測並量化訊號下隱藏的生理機轉。另一方面,隨著儀器的微型化,居家可用的簡易生理訊號收集分析的工具,也讓睡眠檢測得以在睡眠實驗室外進行。本文將簡介基本多重生理訊號取得的概念、訊號處理技術及近期睡眠檢查技術和儀器的新發展。
Polysomnography is the gold standard for diagnosis of sleep disorders and problems. Since whole-night polysomnographic data can be digitalized using modern technology and stored in computer, it provides a chance for applying potential signal processing techniques to analyze the data in developing the computer assisted diagnostic tools as well as in quantifying the physiological mechanisms underneath. On the other hand, as the sizes of electronic products and devices decrease, the home sleep-monitoring devices can perform the less comprehensive sleep study to people’s own house. This article introduces the basic technical concepts of polysomnography, state-of-art signal analysis techniques, and recent progresses in sleep monitoring and devices.
