症狀是中醫診病中最基本的資訊。經由標準化後的中醫症狀更能有效地整合中醫對症狀的定義、問診的方便性、辨證的準確性、電子病歷的記錄和各種統計分析的可能。因此，我們在本論文中提出了「中醫症狀及症狀屬性記錄」的概念，將《中醫證候學》書中高達16834筆中醫症狀敘述句，以下列方式呈現：1. 以統一的格式表達所有的症狀單元。2. 以各種屬性來囊括所有的症狀描述。3. 將部分描述做適當的量化。4. 意義相同的描述句必須統一為相同的標準化症狀。本文提出一種標準化症狀的格式。這種格式定義了一組統一的症狀屬性，來描述所有的症狀。這種症狀記錄方式可利醫師臨床對疾病症狀的收集，有利於電子病歷之資料庫儲存以及演算法分析，同時有利於統合各個辨證系統及各醫家對同一疾病的見解。最後我們再以自然語言分析的角度著手，將症狀詞彙進行斷詞、詞性標記、分析文法結構樹等處理過程，進行分析、記錄各種症狀詞彙的描述結構，並且應用自然語言處理技術來自動地將輸入的症狀對應到標準化症狀的方法。每一個字都有一組可能的詞性，每一個症狀都有一個文法來定義它的每一個字的詞性。這個方法可以顯著地提昇使用完整字串比對的方法，同時有利於大量地標準化中醫古籍成為現代可用之資訊。

Symptoms are the most basic information for diagnosis of diseases in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). We propose the concept of using the attributes of the symptoms as TCM symptom recording method. 16834 TCM symptoms presented in the following manner: 1. Symptoms units are presented in a uniform manner. 2. Each symptom is based on the attributes of the symptoms as a method of recording. 3. Quantization process for each symptom. 4. Synonym must be standardized to the same nouns. Standardization of TCM symptom will contribute to the analysis of the following matters 1. TCM symptoms definition 2. Convenience of interrogation, 3. Accurate diagnosis and treatment, 4. Records of electronic medical records 5. The possibility of various statistical analyzes. Finally, we apply natural language processing technology to automatically standardize the symptoms of each input.This approach helps the large number of standardized Chinese ancient books became the modern available of information.
