在量化醫學研究，表格是呈現研究結果的關鍵要素，有效且易於解讀的表格可增加論文投稿被接 受發表的機會。然而，有文獻指出醫學期刊論文表格的呈現未達理想水平。本文以醫學期刊論文發表為 例，從表格的構成要素、設計和内容方面，提供製作學術表格的要點。表格製作的最後階段，必須小心 校對内容，以確保準確無誤，且表格的設計及内容需再確認符合投稿的期刊規範。而每一個呈現的學術 表格皆應該獨立具備「自明性」，使讀者不需參閱正文即可了解其主要内容。讀者若參考這些建議，應能 對製作簡潔和準確的表格以呈現研究結果有進一步的了解。

Tabular displays of data are a critical element in quantitative medical research. Tables that are effective and properly constructed are likely to increase the chances of acceptance for publication. Nevertheless, previous research indicated that tables included in published medical articles were not presented optimally. This article, based on general requirements of medical journals, outlines the basic elements of a typical table and explains its design and content. In the final stage of table construction, careful proof reading must be done to ensure it is free of errors and the style matched with that required by the journal. Furthermore, every table in an article should be self-explanatory that the main message of the table can be understood without consulting the main text. Based on our suggestions, readers should gain a better understanding of how to construct tables that can concisely and accurately represent the results of a study.
