《南詞定律》為呂士雄等纂輯,成書於清康熙59年(1720),以刻本流傳,近代曲家吳梅譽為:「《南詞定律》出,度曲家始有準繩。」兼帶工尺譜的版本,則為目前所見最早刊行之完整南曲格律譜旁註工尺譜者。本文首先探討「《南詞定律》之基本體例」,將其置入南曲格律譜的發展脈絡考察,分析新的宮調系統及曲牌分類、標註項目的改變,以見其形成格律譜兼工尺譜的新譜式。其次闡發「《南詞定律》之體式辨析」,先舉【正宮.雙鸂鶒】為例,再探討其考訂體式、分別又一體的作法。最後闡發「《南詞定律》之曲牌排列」,分析其排列次第,論過曲部分猶如分門別類的資料庫,具有套數意涵。文末提出二點觀察,概括《南詞定律》在清初曲譜之開創:其一為「新體例開創的實用功能」,創作者得以從分析精當、排列有序的時新例曲入手,毋須陷於繁瑣考訂或舊體例曲。其二為「新體例彰顯的曲學意義」,相較於此前曲譜因從文字多寡入手而「存異」,《南詞定律》從音樂板數入手遂能「求同」,於是開啟曲譜「從逐曲羅列到分體運用」、「從限定格律到概括變異」的重要轉變與創新。

英文摘要

Nan Tzu Ding Lu is a book compiled by Lu ShihHsiung et al. in 1720. The book was published in block print as the first work to exhibit the score of NanChu ChuPai with KungChe notation in ruby characters. We examined the basic format of Nan Tzu Ding Lu and placed the format into the developmental context of the NanChu ChuPai score to analyze new KungTiao systems, the ChuPai classification, and change in notation items, thereby forming a new form of score combined with KungChe notation. Subsequently, the system of Nan Tzu Ding Lu was analyzed. ChengKung: ShuangChiChr was used as an example for investigating the system examination and correction as well as the approach of separation with unification. The ChuPai arrangement of Nan Tzu Ding Lu was detailed to analyze the arrangement order. The part elaborating on KuoChu appeared to be a categorized database presenting the meaning of TaoChu (song cycle). Finally, we propose the utility of innovating new formats and the Chu theory meaning manifested by the new format to summarize the meaning of Nan Tzu Ding Lu in initiating and developing a ChuPai spectrum in the early Ching Dynasty as well as in ChuPai forms and score composition.
