英文摘要

Objective Analyze the causes of misdiagnosed cervical myofascitis and propose key points for proper diagnosis. Method Select 447 cases of cervical myofascitis at Nanfang Hospital and TCM-Integrated Hospital of Southern Medical University between January 2010 and December 2012, observe and collect time of onset, history of medical consultation, misdiagnosed diseases and specific time of diagnosis. Result A low proportion of diagnosis at first consultation, 3.80%; low diagnosis rate for the first week, only 5.15%; chronic case with delayed diagnosis for more than a year, 50.27%; broad spectrum of misdiagnosed diseases including neurovascular headache, cervical spondylosis, depression and menopausal syndrome at the top of the list. The main causes include complicated disease manifestations, shortage of objective indicators, inadequate knowledge of the disease, and negligence of doctors in physical examination. The key points of diagnosis are proposed in this study. Conclusion Cervical myofascitis has complicated signs and symptoms, long duration and high misdiagnosis rate due to inadequate knowledge and negligence in physical examination. Clinical physical examination should be emphasized, especially that of the trigger points.
