本文從解讀宗教多樣性現象開始探討其對宗教寬容思想發展的意義，主要探討由宗教改革帶來的宗教多樣性對發展普遍意義上寬容和自由觀念的貢獻。宗教的多元驅使著宗教寬容以至根本的宗教自由，並使得一般意義上的良知自由及相關的自然權利成為可能，同時，自由主義的基本價值對於多元性的充分認可也是人類的宗教信念和實踐得以豐富和繁榮持續不斷的源泉。

This article interprets the fact of religious diversity from different perspectives and examines its impact to the development of religious tolerance. Concentrates on the contributions of religious diversity caused by the Reformation to advancing tolerance and freedom in general. The plurality among religions impels the emergence of religious tolerance and even religious freedom, which make possible freedom of conscience and related natural rights. Meanwhile, the recognition of pluralism by liberalism becomes the source of flourishing of various religious beliefs and practice.
