Flase advertising injures not only consumers, but also competitors not using false advertisements. The purpose of this paper is not to look at all the objectionable practises. I would like to examine the regulation of advertising in the United States in order to maintain in advertisement a level of truth respecting the interests of both consumers and competitors. In the following pages, we have focused our interest on the Federal Trade Commission and its remedies, As the most important means to deter and fight false advertising.
