‘arete’ is an important concept in Early Greek thinking. It is our character differ from other people. When we say someone has an arete it means that he has something better than others. But how could the research of arete possibly be a part of our medical humanities education? We hope to explore this issue from the following three-part: First, what is the meaning of arete? Second, can arete be a part of medical humanities spirit? Third, found the core elements of medical humanities education by arete.
