本文是協助一位學齡期兒童接受斜視手術於恢復室的照護經驗。護理期間自2013 年1 月20 日11:00 至14:00 共三小時,筆者以觀察、評估、直接照護方式收集資料。在與個案及案母建立信 任的護病關係後,發現個案有術後傷口疼痛、因面對陌生環境及醫療手術處置而產生焦慮,案母 有照顧者角色緊張等問題。筆者根據學齡期兒童的發展特性,協助個案及案母在恢復室期間得到 即時性的照護,個案的疼痛能獲得緩解,在面對陌生環境時,可降低其心中的不安全感與焦慮, 並提供術後照護注意事項,使案母能共同參與照護,進而使個案於術後返家後得到持續性照護。

英文摘要

This report described the nursing experience of caring a school-age child after undergoing strabismus surgery in the recovery room. The experience took place over a period of three hours from 11:00 to 14:00 on January 20, 2013. The author used observation, evaluation, and direct care to collect data. After establishing a relationship of trust with the patient and the mother, the following nursing care needs were confirmed: postoperative wound pain, anxiety caused by the unfamiliar environment and medical treatments, and the mother’s nervousness facing the role of caregiver. The author considered the development level of the child and helped the patient and the mother get immediate care during their stay in the recovery room. The patient’s pain was alleviated and the anxiety and feelings of insecurity were reduced. Postoperative care instructions were given to the mother to enable her to participate in her child’s care and ensure continuity of care after the patient’s return home.
