The main purpose of this article is to expound how the Plotinian and Biblical theories of lux are theological analogy through the concept of lux and lumen, while revealing the relation between “paradigm” and “image”.In addition, it attempts to explain how Plotinus adds Christian elements to his philosophical dogma, reviving ancient Greek views. This fresh material opens up the whole subject of ancient Greek philosophy for further discussion.
