本文針對余英時所著《朱熹的歷史世界》一書及馮友蘭在「貞元之際」所陸續撰成的《貞元六書》所論述的道統觀，做專家專題的論評。分別釐清思想史家與哲學家在不同專業學養及專業理性下對同一問題所作不同視角方法下所呈現的不同研究成果。兩人各自從歷史外緣及理論內在涵義的研究成果亦有可相互借鏡互補之相得益彰處。

This article is to make a thematic review of Zhu Xi’s Historical World by Yü Ying-shih and Six Books of Zhenyuan by Feng Youlan on their respective views of orthodoxy, clarifying the different academic results of an intellectual historian and a philosopher on the same topic due to their different professional knowledge and reason. Approaching respectively through historical contexts and theoretical contents, their academic results are somewhat mutually complementary.
