BIM is the core of construction information technology in the current construction industry, and also the main information means in the whole construction cycle, however, BIM has many defects in practical application. The lack of building completion information in the BIM model and the current lag of building information are the main reasons for restricting the intellectualization and digitalization of the construction industry, Thus, the building construction stage is not smooth, and the later operation and maintenance are difficult. Therefore, by referring to the reverse engineering technology of manufacturing industry, this paper expands the building information into real-time and accurate building information by means of Digital twin technology, and reversely guides the construction, operation and maintenance of buildings. Finally, the effectiveness of the strategy discussed in this paper is proved by the actual case analysis.
