英文摘要

Tuberculosis is a global and highly contagious disease. Effectively blocking the spread of tuberculosis requires universal screening with chest X-ray, causing extreme physical and psychological stress and load on the patient, leading to interruption of medication. This study will empirically explore how the Directly Observed Treatment Short-Course (DOTS) can help the patient get through the difficult treatment period. It is hoped that providing treatment teams and cases can improve the completion rate of treatment based on these results. This study searched databases such as PubMed, Cochrane library, Evidence-based Nursing and Airiti Library based on keywords. The search language was limited to Chinese, English. The research design was Randomized controlled trial (RCT) and Systematic reviews (SR), the search years were from 2013 to 2023, and 3 literature reviews were finally included. This research of systematic reviews used the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) RCT checklist updated in 2020 and the SR checklist updated in 2018 as literature quality evaluation tools. The results showed that there were 3 literature reviews confirming the use of directly observed treatment plans during treatment of tuberculosis patients to improve patient medication compliance and prevent treatment interruption. The DOTS plan is an important decision for the government to manage tuberculosis. However, the actual implementation at the grassroots level also faces some cases that do not cooperate with treatment. At this time, strong support and resources from the government are needed to achieve more effective prevention and treatment completion rates, and move towards WHO advocacy. The goal of global elimination of tuberculosis by 2035.
