中文摘要

離岸風力發電因自然風能變動造成之發電不穩定性,可透過結合儲能系統以減少發電負載高低峰落差,降低發電量變動衝擊電網所造成之損失。本研究以臺灣浮動式離岸風電潛力場址假設為儲能應用目標場址,透過評估離岸風力發電場址環境差異及儲能需求,提供一推算目標場址儲能需求之方法。於本研究當中,首先系統性地分析臺灣浮式離岸風電場址開發資料擇定目標場址,接著根據再生能源併網規範分析已營運之離岸風力發電場址儲能需求,最後分析場址環境以及發電規模差異推算目標場址之儲能需求。本研究成果可作為浮式離岸風電應用儲能系統之初步評估,所建立之目標場址擇定流程與儲能需求推算方法,亦可作為其他海洋再生能源工程或電機設計開發之研究參考。

英文摘要

The fluctuating nature of wind causes the intermittency of offshore wind generation, and consequentially has the impact on the power grid. The use of energy storage systems is thus proposed as a solution to smooth the power generation, and reduce the loss of electricity and economics induced by the electricity fluctuations. The objective of this study is to provide a methodology to estimate energy storage demands of floating offshore wind farms. The evaluation consists of three parts, including the characteristic assessment of wind sites to define the target wind site with the need of energy storage, the energy storage demands analysis of the wind farms in operation, and the estimation of energy storage demands of the target site. An evaluation methodology is proposed and presented together with a case study of floating offshore wind farms in Taiwan. Firstly, various sites for offshore wind farms are systematically investigated, among which one wind farm site that will benefit most from the use of energy storage system is chosen as the target site for further evaluation. Secondly, the energy storage demands of several operational wind sites are determined by analyzing power generation data and grid connection specifications. Finally, the energy storage demand of the target site is estimated based on the operational wind sites’ energy storage demands and the consideration of differences between sites in their environmental conditions and the power generation plans. The results of this research can be used as a preliminary evaluation of the utilization of energy storage systems together with floating offshore wind technology. The presented methodology for the analysis of the target wind site and the assessment of energy storage demands can also be applied to the development of other marine renewable energy or power generation systems.
