本題以鄭玄〈戒子益恩書〉、袁宏《後漢紀》、佚名《鄭玄別傳》、范曄《後漢書•張曹鄭列傳•鄭玄傳》為主要文本。從一、傳記的疊影。二、政治的背影。三、思潮的側影。四、儒者的身影等四個角度切入，以探討「經學家傳記的文化意涵」。得出四點結論：一、在史傳與學者論著的接力之下，完成經學家鄭玄的雕像。二、黨錮之禍與黃巾之亂這兩大政治事件，鄭玄身在期中，影響著政治，也受到政治的影響。三、鄭玄在當時的思潮下精通經術，也精通「數術」，以此盡得馬融真傳；並在與何休的論辯中，逼使何休無辭以對，彰顯古文經學。四、鄭玄以其一生「志學、遊學、著述、講學」為繼孔子之後的「儒家身影」，至於今日仍然長存。先師高仲華先生稱鄭玄為「通儒」，其一生行事足為後世典範，誠為確論也。

This article use the books of Hsuan Cheng's the Book of Chieh tzu yi en, Hung Yuan's The History of the Late Han Dynasty and Yai Fan's The Book of the Late Han Dynasty•The Biography of Chang Tsao Cheng lieh The Biography of Hsuan Cheng as main texts. The following four angles draw four conclusions. These four angles are: the reappearance images of the Biography, the backgrounds of politics, the images of ideological trends and the study of the experts of the Classic Biography Books' cultural meanings. In conclusions, the images of the expert of Classic Book Hsuan Cheng are formed with the help of the Chinese History and the critical books of the scholars. In addition, the disasters of Tang Ku and the disorder of yellow towel, these two political matters influenced Hsuan Cheng a lot and he also played an important role in these cases. Thirdly, during that time, Hsuan Cheng was an expert on classic books and techniques, and he was Jung Ma's best student. In the debate with Hsiu Ho, Hsuan Cheng forced Hsiu Ho become speechless in order to show the importance of Classic books. Last but not the least, Hsuan Cheng's aims for life were keeping learning, studying away from home, writing books and lecturing. These behaviors present the best images of Confucians and last until nowadays. My teacher Chung-Ha Kao calls Hsuan Cheng "an expert on everything" and Hsuan Cheng's behaviors are no doubt the ideal of the posterity.
