     1998年2月,台中巿發生一件疑似食物中毒事件,患者食用香魚片,在食用一口後,即出現口、舌麻痺等類似河魨中毒之症狀,其後餵食家中貓、狗,狗食入將近3/4片剩餘之魚片和另外同包三片香魚片,導致狗死亡,貓則僅食入剩餘之香魚片部份產生嘔吐症狀。因此將患者食用同包中剩餘之一片香魚片依河魨毒之生物檢定法測其毒性,得知香魚片每公克具有525老鼠單位之河魨毒性。進一步以1%醋酸甲醇溶液抽毒後,經二氯甲烷脫脂、DiafloYM-1膜超過濾和Bio-Gel P-2管柱層析法精製,部分精製之毒素則以矽土膠體60 F254薄板之薄層色層分析、醋酸纖維片之電泳分析和AM-314分析管柱之逆相高效能液態層析儀分析,得知此香魚片中之毒素含有河魨毒和脫水河魨毒。綜合上述結果,得知本次疑似食物中毒事件之原因物質乃為河魨毒所致。

英文摘要

     Dried seasoned puffer fish fillet was suspected for a paralytic foodpoisoning incident occurred in Taichung, Taiwan, in February 1998. Symptoms includedsevere numbness of lips. The uneaten portion was analyzed for toxicity and toxiccomposition. The dried seasoned puffer fish fillet showed a high toxicity of 525 mouseunits per gram by tetrodotoxin bioassay. The sample was purified with Diaflo YM-1 membrane ultra-filtration and run through Bio-Gel P-2 chromatography. The purifiedtoxin, analyzed with thin layer chromatography, electrophoresis and high performanceliquid chromatography, indicated that the causative toxic agents were tetrodotoxinand anhydrotetrodotoxin.
