中文摘要

     欲預測揮發性有機物在土壤中吸╱脫附的變化及影響參數,可從吸╱脫附量上的動力過程及熱力學參數瞭解內含的相關物理或化學機制。本文將測定方法分成四類:濃度測定、層析測定、質量測定及光譜測定方法。濃度測定法容易以不同濃度同時進行大批的實驗,快速建立等溫吸附曲線,但須注意避免操作上的誤差。層析測定法由層析曲線計算吸附反應的熱力與動力參數,需在假設理想氣體的條件下進行,故其結果較適用於低的揮發性有機物的情境。質量測定法應用以觀察吸╱脫附動力,但若應用於多種揮發性有機物的同時吸附時,此變化僅能呈現外觀的總變化,而無法分辨出任一者的貢獻比例。光譜測定法除了可快速的即時監測,並強化了對揮發性有機物在各種不同相上的特性鑑別,但因吸光度與質量之間的線性關係範圍較小,其定量較佳應輔以其他方法進行,例如以層析法分離並定量。

英文摘要

     Sorption/desorption kinetics and thermodynamics implicate the reaction mechanisms. Adequate sorption experimental design that determines the volatile organic compounds sorption amount on soil helps for predicting the pollutants migration in the environment. The sorption amount determination techniques are divided into four categories: concentration technique, chromatographic technique, gravimetric technique and spectrophotometric technique. Comcentration technique is a good way to establish sorption isotherm and could be applied to various scenarios, such as from dry condition to aqueous solution. Chromatographic technique, which is based on the assumptions of ideal gas condition, could be used to estimate both of the sorption thermodynamic and mass transfer parameters. Microscopic observation for sorption/desorption kinetics with gravimetric technique is a direct and fast approach. However, gravimetric technique could not differentiate from each sorbent contribution in competitive sorption. As well as the gravimetric technique, spectrophotometric technique, which could obtain the sorbed phase characteristics, is also a microscopic method. Due to the less broad range of linear relationship between absorbance and mass, it is preferred to determination the sorption amount with other quantifying methods, says chromatography.
