本研究的主要目的，為探究臨床護理人員對壓瘡相關知識的認知，及其在預防措施的執行上，出現差異的影響因素。
研究者於民國82年12月至83年2月間，於北部某醫學中心以發放先行設計好的結構性問卷收集資料。共獲859份有效問卷。問卷內容採專家效度並以Cronbach's α值(0.829-0.834)，來判定其信度。本研究的護理人員平均年齡23.7歲(SD=2.71)，平均工作年資2.79年(SD=2.18)，教育程度則以專科畢業為最多(86.7%)。
資料的統計分析，主要採用Speannan correlation、ANOVA與Generalized F-test。結果分析如下: 1.以教育程度與單位設有相關的設施等，會影響基本知識的認知。2.護理人員對相關壓瘡預防措施，與實際執行情形會因護理時數、服務年資與病房科別不同，而有差異。據此，研究者於文內提出可應用於相關實務上的多項建議。

The purpose of this study was to explore the knowledge level of pressure sores for clinical nurses in a medical center around the northern part of Taiwan. Also, it analyzes factors influencing their performance of the preventive interventions for pressure sores.
Data was collected by a self-designed structured questionaire between Dec. 1993 and Feb. 1994. A total of 859 valid questionaires were analyzed. The major characteristics of these nurses are: 23.7 years old (SD=2.71) ; 2.79 years of clinical experiences(SD=2.18); and have associated degree (86.7%).
Spearman correlation, ANOVA and Generalized F-test were performed to indicate the existing relationships. The following results have been found: 1.Education level and the preventive facilities could affect the knowledge of nurses. 2.The preventive interventions and performances were changed by different nursing hours, years of clinical experiences, and disciplines of wards.
Several suggestions of clinical applications were also included.
