本質性研究旨在探討職業婦女於公共場所哺乳時的主觀經馬。針對12位產後持續哺乳四個月以上的識業婦女，以深入訪談法配合錄音方式進行資料之收集，將訪談內容轉成文字記錄，再以內容分析法加以分析資料。結果顯示其哺乳經驗可歸納為四個主是:(1)在空間中面臨困境、(2)處於不友善的哺乳環境、(3)改變原有生活型態以及(4)採取公共場所哺乳實作策略。本研究結果可提供政府制定及改善公共場所的哺乳設施以及重建哺母乳文化之重要依據。

The aim of this qualitative study was to explore the subjective experiences of cancer women with regard to breastfeeding their infant in public places. A convenient sample of 12 breastfeeding women who had given birth at least four months before participating in this study and breastfed in public was recruited. In-depth interviews were audiotaped, transcribed verbatim, and analyzed using content analysis. Four underlying themes identified by this study included (1) facing difficulties in due to spatial arrangements； (2) breastfeeding in a breastfeeding-unfriendly environment； (3) altering daily routines； and (4) developing breastfeeding strategies for public areas. The results of this study may provide critical guidance to health policymakers for their regulation and improvement of breastfeeding facilities in public areas and the reestablishment of supportive breastfeeding culture in Taiwan.
