生活品質是人類生活於社會的重要環節，它可用諸多社會經濟因素來衡量，像是生活水準、個人擁有的財力與物力、自由度、愉悅感、環境保護均屬之，而格調是其中最難品評者。日本文化向來似無藩籬地為台灣人所接受，然而哈日僅在表象，國人並末將優雅高尚的生活品質真正融入自我的生活型態中，導致在諸如環境綠化與停車設施的政策作為上，顯得相對落後。

The quality of life of a population is an important concern for society and can be measured by many social and economic factors. A large part is standard of living, the amount of money and access to goods and services that a person has; these numbers are fairly easily measured. Others like freedom, happiness, art, environmental health, and living styles are far harder to measure. Japanese popular culture comes across the limit of geographical boundary into Taiwan society. However, even many Taiwan people crazy about Japanese popular culture, some people who like Japanese popular culture cannot connect it with their everyday life and show an elegant or delicate lifestyle. This has created an inevitable imbalance quality of life while policies are ignored the other measures, such as landscape engineering or parking arrangement.
