張卓先生為斗六斗山吟社、雲峯吟社、六鰲詩社的成員。他業醫濟世，雅好敲詩，所作《張立卿詩文集》1豐富了日治時期雲林的騷壇。本文介紹他的詩的特色：其一，作品閒適、樂觀而有生命力；其二，是隱士生活的紀錄詩歌；其三，有基督聖教的情懷，作虔誠的禪修實修。他純淨的人格自然形成了他漢詩最重要的風格。

The study of the history of literature developed at Yunlin area is far from complete. Therefore, it is natural that the Graduate Program of Chinese Studies of Yunlin University of Science and Technology should make it one of its missions to establish the history of literature written in Yunlin country. Due to geographical factor, it will be relatively easy to collect primary sources which remain scattered and will have to be collected relying on various methods including field trips and interviews. I feel confident that I should be able to complete “the study of the development of classical Chinese literature in Yunlin area” as some preliminary works were already conducted in my previous research.
A regional study of the development of literature will arouse our interest in our local culture. This project will also provide an opportunity for the graduate students in my program to enhance their research and editing abilities.
