本研究以某醫學中心98位全身性紅斑狼瘡門診病患為樣本，檢定無助指標測量全身性紅斑狼瘡患者經驗無助的信效度。研究工具有無助指標、精神症狀量表、狼瘡活動性量表及日常生活限制表。14題的無助指標內在一致性Cronbach'sα=0.73，建構效度由驗證型因素分析顯示無助指標含內控因素與無助因素。外在效標效度顯示內控因素與憂鬱(r=0.26， p<0.01)相關；無助因素與焦慮(r=0.46， p<0.001)、憂鬱(r=0.56， p<0.001)、一般精神症狀(r=0.54， p< 0.001 )、疼痛(r=0.27， p<0.01)及社交活動受限(r=0.29， p<0.01)相關。研究結果顯示無助指標的信度及效度可做為測量全身性紅斑狼瘡患者的無助經驗。

The Rheumatology Attitudes Index (RAI) was administered to 98 outpatients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) to determine its reliability and touexamine the construct of learned helplessness in patients with this disease. The RAI, Symptom Checklist-90 - Revised (SCL-90- R), SLE Activity Measure (SLAM) and Daily Activity Limitation were tools used in the study. The internal consistency of the RAI was indicated by Cronbach'sαvalue (α= 0.73). A total of 14 items' measurement containing of arthritis internality factor and arthritis helplessness factor was confirmed through the confirmatory factor analysis. The external criterion validity of the RAI was established by identification of statistically significant correlations between the RAI score and the SLAM, daily activity limitation, and psychiatric symptom scores. A Significant correlation was observed between the arthritis internality score and depression (r=0.26, p < 0.01). Significant correlations were observed between the arthritis helplessness scored and anxiety (r= 0.46, p < 0.001), depression (r=0.56, p< 0.001), the General Symptom Index (r=0.54, p < 0.001), pain (r=0.27, p<0.01), and social activity limitation (r=0.29, p < 0.01). These findings support the reliability and validity of the RAI in SLE.
