「終端使用者應用」(EUC)是近幾年來資訊管理領域重要的研究課題,應採取何種管理策略才能對「EUC有效管理」,已是資訊管理學者與實務界所共同關心的課題。本研究母體設定為「國內設立資訊部門三年以上的大型企業」,採隨機抽樣設計,共有92家公司的資訊主管回答問卷。本研究發現,可將EUC策略分為「整合」、「協調」、「放任」三群;EUC績效構面可分別為「效率/效果」及「滿意/自主」,研究結果發現EUC策略對滿意/自主績效有顯著影響,整合策略績效最高、協調策略次之、放任策略最低;但EUC策略卻對效率/效果績效沒有顯著影響。本研究亦對上述發現的涵意加以討論。

英文摘要

End-User Computing (EUC) plays an important role in the area of man-agement information system recently. The issue concerning how to strategically manage EUC effectively receives much attention. For the methodology of this research, the population is the large domestic enterprises which have established the information department more than 3 years. The random sampling method is used to identify the candidate respondents to answer the questionnaires. Totally, ninety-two managers of information department filled out the questionnaires. In terms of research finding, EUC strategies can be divided into three types, i.e., integrated, coordinated, and laisser-faire strategies. The dimensions of the EUC performance are "efficiency/effectiveness" and "satisfaction/indepen-dence". The result of this research also reveals that EUC strategies affect the performance of satisfaction/ independence significantly. The performance level of the integrated strategy appears to be the highest, the coordinated strategy takes the second place, and the laissez-faire strategy takes the lowest. On the other hand, EUC strategies have no significant influence on the dimension of ef-ficiency/effectiveness. The implications of this finding are widely discussed.
