　　　　　Asymmetric chest activity with malignant or benign pleural effusions on bone scans has been described. We report a patient with a malignant pleural effusion secondary to adenocarcinoma of the left lung that accumulated the bone imaging agents, technetium-99m-methylene diphosphonate (99mTc-MDP). Previously published literature on the subject is also reviewed.
