背景：鎵-67積聚於腸道的特性經常使得鎵-67影像判讀更形複雜。在本研究中，我們使用兩種清腸劑評估其對鎵-67腎臟造影的清腸效果。
方法：共150位紅斑性狼瘡腎炎病患接受鎵-67造影。我們將其分成三組：A組沒有接受任何清腸程序；B組在造影前一晚接受30c.c.之Castor oil；C組在造影前一晚服用Bisacodyl。針對48小時的鎵-67影像，我們評估鎵-67積聚於大腸肝轉折處及脾轉折處的情形，並將其分成0到2三個等等級。
結果：結果顯示A組病患中有36%在肝轉折處發現明顯鎵活性；在B組及C組病患中，其百分比分別降至18%和14%。此外，A組病患中有40%發現在脾折處有鎵-67積聚；在B組C組病患中，脾轉折處的積聚明顯降至16%和18%。
結論：使用castor oil和Bisacodyl可明顯改善紅斑性狼瘡鎵-67腎臟造影的品質，在這兩種清腸劑間則無明差異。

Background: Intestinal accumulation of gallium-67 frequently complicates the interpretation of gallium-67 scintigrams. It could also be a drawback when reading the gallium renal images. In this study, we used two different cathartics to evaluate the efficacy of bowel cleansing in improving the quality of gallium renal imaging in lupus nephritis.
Methods: One hundred and fifty patients with lupus nephritis underwent gallium renal scintigraphy and were randomly divided into three groups. Group A received no bowel preparation, Group B received 30 ml of castor oil at the night before imaging, and Group C received Bisacodyl the night before imaging. Gallium activities at the hepatic flexure and splenic flexure of the colon were rated on a three-point scale from 0 to 11 based on the anterior view of a delayed 48-hour gallium image.
Results: Thirty-six percent of Group A patients had obvious gallium activity in the hepatic flexure. The percentages decreased significantly to 18% and 14% in Groups B and C, respectively. No significant difference was noted between Group B and Group C. Forty percent of Group A patients had obvious gallium activity in the splenic flexure. The percentage decreased significantly to 16% and 18% in Groups B and C, respectively. No significant difference was noted between Group B and Group C.
Conclusion: Our data suggest that the application of either castor oil or Bisacodyl significantly improves the quality of 48-hour gallium renal scintigraphy in lupus nephritis. There were no significant differences in the efficacy of bowel cleansing of gallium activity between these two laxatives.
