英文摘要

Dietrich Bonhoeffer^ Letters and Papers from Prison, written between his arrest April, 1943 and his murder April, 1945, have been published under the title Wider stand and Ergebung (Resistance and Submission). They have attracted and deeply moved millions of readers throughout the world. They present a Christian witness of a passionate martyr and a deep thinking theologian. It is clear that they offer many inspiring insights and challenging ideas. However, do they also offer a consistent theological legacy from which future generations can consciously learn? The article answers this question. It shows that Bonhoeffer develops a theological and eschatological realism which can explain his complicated notions of a “non-religious Christianity” and the “suffering God”
