原住民所居住地區經常擁有豐富天然景色,因而在臺灣發展生態旅遊與原住民之間有相當密切的關係。本文旨在以一所原住民社區大學的個案,探討其促進生態的永續發展,以及倡議當地人與觀光客的環境教育。研究者發現此個案符合以滅貧為本旅遊的核心觀念,此原住民社區大學除了尊重當地居民的文化存續問題,也將休閒觀光的淨利益歸於參與的原住民。對於旅遊的方案設計,研究者認為根據觀光客不同的層次,應該在環境教育素養方面設計不同的教學策略。
The potential sites of natural environments for developing ecotourism have a very close relationship with Taiwan aboriginal people. This paper shows an Indigenous Community University as a case study to promote ecoturism sustainable development; it also advocates the education of environmentally aware the local people and the tourists. The researcher found the case which fits the core concept of Pro-poor tourism, encourage contributing economic net benefits to participated indigenous group. As to the program, the research suggests that a conscious effort should be made to implement different strategy for different level of environmental literacy.
