     彩色映管(CMT)屬高投資成本的生產事業,無論就品質或產出率而言,塗佈製程可視為CMT生產中重要的一環,因在其製程中,任何無謂的動作或延宕均能造成CMT生產力的降低。本文將以一實例說明如何增進CMT之產量,所考量的塗佈線包含二十種不同的設備;縱使每個設備可從容完成所指派的作業,但整線未必能達預期之生產力。我們受邀設法降低15%的週期時間,經採用模組分離概念和數學分析技術,我們建議調整輸送臂速度、機械臂運動路線、支撐柱位置和部份作業時間;經三個月的改善期,目標達成。值得一提的是,本文所探討的唯僅為工程的工作,然存在一主要頁獻--展現了一種簡單的問題求解過程。

英文摘要

     The color monitor tube (CMT) production has been claimed as a high-costinvestment. The fluorescent coating process is critical to the CMT production inboth the quality and the yield rate. Any unnecessary motion or improper delay inthe process may reduce the entire CMT productivity. In this paper, a real casestudy of how to improve the fluorescent coating throughput is discussed. Theconcerned fluorescent coating process system is organized in a line of 20different types of devices. Although an individual device could leisurelyaccomplish its assigned operation on time, the entire line does not reach theexpected productivity. We are asked to reduce the cycle time up to 15%. Amodular separation concept and several mathematical analysis techniques areapplied. We conclude a set of adjustments in transfer arm speed, robottrajectory, supporting beam location, and some operation time. These ajustmentslead to the modification of some mechanical and control engineering work. Afterthree months of implementation, we are told that the goal has been reached. Thispaper emphasizes an engineering work. The major contribution is to demonstrate anatty thought in the problemsolving procedure.
