在這競爭激烈的市場上,大部份的美容業者都能體會「唯有不斷的創新和進修,才能不被潮流淘汰」。然而現有教育機構所推出的推廣教育課程是否能滿足美容從業人員進修的需求,應從使用者需求面與其對在職進修看法來進一步了解。研究方法包括文獻探討與問卷調查法;研究結果顯示美容從業人員最希望得到的專業能力為新的專業技術,認為以往在學校中較無法得到的專業罷力,以問題解決的能力及學習溝通的技巧並列第一。此外,因過去曾有過專業機構外在職進修經驗者對在職進修重要性認同度較從未有機構外進修經驗者低,值得課程設計單位參考。最後根據研究結果對美容從業人員、學校及提供進修課程規劃之單位提出具體建議。

英文摘要

Under the keen competition market, most beauticians realize from experiences that “Only through constant innovation and continuing education can an in-service person keep progress and won’t be eliminated through competition.” However, it is debate that whether all continuing courses promoted by education institutes can satisfy all the needs of all in-service people in this industry; thus, we should try to get general pictures from users’ point of view when planning curriculums. The study methods include literature review and questionnaire survey. The study results show that most beauticians are more interested in professional competences, and techniques that are new and innovative, and are not easy for them to learn at school. Their first consideration will be the competence of trouble-shooting and the skills of communication. In addition, comparing with those who haven’s taken continuing education courses in outside training institutes, those who have taken show less interests and worse responses to those courses. There is really a warning for curriculum designers. Eventually, we would like to submit our concrete suggestions based on the study forwarded to on-job beauticians, school and institutes that provide curriculum planning.
