Organizations are decision-making systems. The “making"of decisions is generally understood to be a process of evaluation and choices among alternatives by decision-maker(s). However, members' perceptions of an existing “decision"oftentimes do. not correspond to the actual decision. behaviors, but are only “myths".Decision myths can jeopardize the normal functioning of an organization and are to be corrected. In this paper, the author suggested four general principles in resolving these myths. The author argued that all members should work together in this endeavor to better achieve organizational objectives.
